#TheHunt at PAX East 2014
Crown’s social media wizards worked some Facebook and Twitter magic in Boston last weekend.
Last weekend several Crown social media ninjas packed their bags and headed to Boston (pronounced BAAHST-INN) where we joined forces with Portland’s Pinnacle Exhibits and Wizards of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering team for PAX East. This annual, 3-day gaming conference brought over 50,000 people from all over the world to Boston’s Convention and Exhibition Center.
Crown Social set up an interactive, social-first photo booth, and managed (and optimized in real-time) a treasure hunt-style social media activation whereby attendees entered to win an all-expenses-paid trip for 2 to PAX Prime in Seattle. The end result: thousands of attendees shared their photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, earning our awesome client millions of impressions among a very desirable target demographic.
The convention went by in a flash, we learned a lot more than we already knew about gaming, and we got to practice our Boston accents. All in all, it was a great weekend.
