The Challenge

We’ve all know /those/conferences: long, expensive talkfests featuring a rotating cast of celebs from the paid speaker circuits. Seattle Interactive Conference is decidedly not that, featuring a radically diverse mix of speakers, panels, and workshops that tell stories from the frontlines of the creative, marketing, and technology industries. But how do you convince people that SIC is a truly different type of conference?

The Approach

Create an inclusive rallying cry for creativity and innovation that showcases the unique faces and voices of Seattle’s premiere un-conference.

Colors

We created a diverse color system to symbolize the different audiences at SIC. Blue for techies, magenta for marketers, yellow for influencers and activists, and black for creatives.

Creating a system

Following the same thinking we wanted to add some depth and excitement to the look of this year conference so we created a pattern system using different patterns for each demographic as well.

From announce to arrival, CROWN produced all assets, digital & physical, to create a consistent and cohesive design experience throughout all touchpoints that promised real connection to the Seattle’s influential tech, marketing and creative community.

Live Coverage

From photobooths to social feeds to hashtag-driven Q&As, CROWN facilitated a conference that was uniquely interactive and driven by social media. In addition, we ran a war room that live tweeted quotes from talks, broadcasted select sessions in their entirety, and promoted user engagement throughout the event
