Enjoy🍒
At the start of Covid-19, we wanted to save jobs and utilize existing capacity at Gold Bar while tapping into the surge in ready-to-drink cocktails and at-home social rituals. The mission: create a playful, approachable bubbly, boozy bottled beverage that could cut through isolation fatigue, stand out on shelves, and resonate with a younger audience that craved both fun and quality.
What We Did
Concept Development
Defined the name and brand personality — Boo’s Booze — a cheeky, conversational brand built around the idea of companionship in a bottle.
Moodboards & Creative Directions
Explored three distinct routes:
Bright, Blocky, Bold — pattern-heavy, bubble motifs, youthful energy.
Refined Minimal — monochrome palettes with foil touches to let the bottles shine.
Ugly/Cute — quirky illustration style leaning into the “Boo” persona .
Packaging Design
Designed bottle labels featuring playful typography, hand-drawn detailing, and all-over bubble patterns.
Produced hangtags with witty taglines (“Thinking of you, Boo”) and bold color explorations .
Developed 4-pack carriers and dielines, including creative concepts like the “Re-Boozable” mini tote for sustainable reuse.
Flavors & Naming
Crafted flavor names that felt adventurous yet familiar: Pisco Punch, Watermelon Aperol Spritz, Mint Gin Fizz, Brazilian Mule.
Activation Concept
Extended the brand into experiential territory with BYOB — Be Your Own Boo, a mirror installation encouraging self-love and shareable moments, paired with sampling or vouchers.
Impact
Rapid Launch in a Pandemic: Brought a full RTD product line from concept to packaging-ready within months, enabling our client to seize the Covid-era at-home drinking trend.
Shelf Appeal: Packaging by Oblige Studio stood out with bold patterns, humor-forward copy, and tactile details that invited interaction.
Cultural Resonance: “Boo’s Booze” became both a product and a mood — playful, comforting, and sharable at a time when connection mattered most.
