A lot of clients ask the same question at the start: “What should our budget be?”
The truth is that this dance around numbers rarely helps anyone.
CROWN builds work around appetite, ambition, and reality. A local cinematographer with an edge and real cultural fluency can be the right call. Spike Jonze can also be the right call. One of those paths requires a seven-figure budget. The other does not. Both can be brilliant. The point is that the best answer is always tied to the brand, the brief, and the moment.
Our work is bespoke. Our teams are talented. Every person who touches your account is a professional who gets paid handsomely to be exceptional at what they do. Rates reflect that. Craft reflects that. The outcome reflects that.
We do not inflate scope for the sake of it. We also do not guess. We do what is required and nothing more. But what is required only becomes clear once we talk, ask questions, audit the landscape, and understand what you want to move.
What we can share upfront is simple.
Our rate card
CROWN bills at a blended rate of 200 dollars per hour to start. Strategy and creative direction at project start often sit closer to 250 dollars per hour. As systems take shape, the rate normalizes.
Standard agency markup on production partners, contractors, and vendors is ten to twenty percent. The specific markup depends on risk, timeline, and complexity. There are no hidden fees.
Typical structures
Most clients engage us through a monthly retainer for social strategy, community management, and ongoing creative direction. Retainers start at twenty thousand dollars per month. This covers the core team and the work that moves day to day.
Many clients also begin with a one time strategic planning project. This aligns positioning, cadence, and direction. These projects typically range from ten thousand to forty thousand dollars depending on how much groundwork already exists.
Campaign production is scoped separately. Ideas and direction flow through the retainer. Execution is funded as needed. This structure keeps incentives clean and keeps creative ambition tied to honest budget guardrails.
The real answer
If we believe in the work, we meet you where you are. If the chemistry is right, we build something sharp together. But good work costs what good work costs.
Tell us what you want to invest. We will tell you what is possible inside that envelope. The goal is not to upsell. The goal is to get to the right solution with the resources you have.
That is our approach. Simple. Transparent. Built for brands that want to stand out.
